HBF Outdoors

Brian “x2jhiker” Ford HBF Founder, husband, and avid outdoorsman, backpacker and adventurer. UST Brand Ambassador  Purinize Brand Ambassador and an Epic Social Adventurer

I started hiking when I was young. I was blessed to have my Dad not only take me hiking at a young age, but also teach me the basic of the outdoors. Even before I could walk my parents took me hiking as I straddled a pack designed for infants, on my Dad’s back. As a teenager he got me into the Boy Scouts. Some of my fondest memories were spent camping with my Dad on a scout outing or Camporee. Vacations for my family were spent at State Parks throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Hiking has always been a time for me to get out and away from everything, to shut out the world. Hiking and backpacking brings people together in a community, with a common interest but diverse backgrounds, ages, cultures and up bringing. I am a brand influencer for GravityFed & GearStash. I also a member of the board for Gear Forward.

The outdoors has always been a time for me to disconnect, and connect with my faith away from the distractions of the modern world and society. It’s where I go for peace and to listen to the voice of God.

Being outdoors, no matter what your adventure, brings people together in a community, with a common interest but diverse backgrounds, ages, cultures and up bringing.

My goal at HBF Outdoors is to give back to others so they too can benefit from the outdoors for overall health (physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual).

Our Mission

To inspire people to get outdoors for overall (physical, mental and spiritual) health. Connect them to nature and to others to build community. And collaborate with the outdoor industry, and communicate the needs of our wildlife, forest and land preservation.

I really would love to do something like this. I keep coming back to it and reading things online about it. I am not physically where I think I’d need to be and I really am not sure, not to mention the cost. But I enjoy so much reading all of these blogs and experiences. It seems really incredible and it would be a HUGE challenge I think… I’m still pondering. By the way, I’m also a Disciple and I’m excited to read about your journey with The Lord out in the trail! Blessings!

It’s so great to see another hiker/Christian out spreading the good news of Jesus Christ. I too am using my love for the outdoors and hiking as a ministry tool. I will pray for you and your endeavor to share The Lord with those around us and encourage you to check my blog with a similar theme…Faith and Footsteps. http://www.faithandfootsteps.wordpress.com
